Matt Polley sticks to Hereford for his best bets of the day this Monday. 14:30 HEREFORD 

Followcato is in a rich vein of form currently, and he’s certainly worth considering despite a rise in the weights.

This looks a straight match between Ski Lodge and Risk De Pluie.

Ski Lodge arguably has the two best pieces of form in this race, his run behind Jo Coko and his second behind Scorpio Rising, however, despite the soft ground, Hereford may be too sharp for him.

That leaves Risk De Pluie. His form is of a decent level, and his runs over this trip and shorter, may give him the tactical edge.

Nowmelad has won here and his latest second at Market Rasen is a smart piece of form.

Evan Williams runs two here for the Ruckers. Both have clearly had training issues, and it’s hard to know what the plan is for them both.

It’s easy to imagine Out Of Office will be seen as the first string, however, L’Astroboy looks interesting.

He’ll definitely handle the going, and he returned in a seriously competitive handicap at Sandown after two and half years of the track. He was only 12/1 that day and ran a respectable race. Dropped two pounds, and if he comes on from that he could surprise.
