TODAYS TIPS (MONDAY)

Matt Polley finds two runners worth backing to kick start the week. 15:45 PLUMPTON

Junior Des Mottes will be popular, especially with his small yard in excellent form, however, Fakenham form sometimes can be misleading.

Glengolly bolted in at Hereford two starts ago, and if you can forgive his latest run in deep ground, he’d have a squeak.

Minella Kaiser looks every inch a chaser, but it hasn’t quite worked out for him. He’s a dour stayer and hopefully the quicker tempo of a hurdle race should bring that stamina into play. It’ll be disappointing if he can’t win of his lowly mark.

MINELLA KAISER (WIN)

16:00 AYR

Diamond Geezer for the irresistible combo of Murphy and Bowen looks an obvious contender.

At longer price, Jericoacoara has shown enough to suggest he could up his game here and go well.

Lights Go Green looks the most tempting. He’s been competitive in some decent juvenile contests, and makes his handicap debut off a tempting mark. The step up in trip is also in his favour.
