TODAYS TIPS (TUESDAY)

Sam King hopes his two tips for Tuesday land as he picks out selections from Lingfield and Huntingdon.

14:27 LINGFIELD

In an open handicap hurdle, there should be more to come from the lightly raced Harry Junior. Trained by David Pipe in the colours of Brocade Racing, he struggled to feature in maiden and novice hurdles before instantly taking a sizeable step forward when switched to handicap company, keeping on at the one-pace to finish a creditable runner-up at Worcester last month. The winner that day looks a progressive type from Olly Murphy’s yard and, in all truth, a 2lb nudge up the weights should be workable for this sizeable son of Doyen, especially with the step up to two-mile seven expected to suit. He’s selected to come on top, with perhaps Golden Ambition the biggest danger.

 HARRY JUNIOR (WIN)

15;11 HUNTINGDON

Sharp right-handed tracks look to bring out the best in Kingston Sunflower, who stepped forward from a low-key return to take her record to four from ten over hurdles with a smooth success at Ludlow last time out. The only mare in the field, Fergal O’Brien’s eight-year-old has been handed a 7lb rise in the weights for that victory but his daughter Fern, who has already proven her capabilities in the saddle on multiple occasions, can now claim her full allowance, so she’s only effectively 5lb higher here. That 5lb rise should prove workable for this previous course and distance winner and she gets the vote to extend the winning sequence. The chief threat might well come from the class-dropping Charging Thunder for local handler James Owen, while He's A Latchico shouldn’t be discounted.

KINGSTON SUNFLOWER (WIN)
