Just the six races to get stuck into this Saturday as the ITV cameras head to Ascot and Haydock. We preview all the action here in our 'TV Tips'. 13:50 ASCOT
General Medrano disappointed last time out but prior to that performance produced a credible fourth placed finish here in a Grade 3. It looked as if he'd appreciate a step up in trip that day and this extra couple of furlongs should suit. With the eye-catching booking of jockey Sean Bowen also a positive he's capable of going close once again.
The runner with the best recent form has to be Bad who went well to finish fifth in the Paddy Power when last seen. A repeat of that effort should see the six-year-old throw down a serious challenge and shouldn't be ignored.
Of the remainder The consistent The Famous Five has the ability to go well if fit after their near 300 day absence.

Although he's never claimed victory here at Haydock My Silver Lining has some fair form here at the North West venue. His last success came all the way back in January 2024 but that was a top-class handicap at Warwick. He's now a few pounds below that winning mark and looks weighted to go close after an encouraging third in his most recent run.
Saladins Son and Top Of The Bill filled the first two spots when they met here last time out. The form can be reversed now that they're off fairer weights and as such Saldins Son can also go well.
Jacks Parrot finished second in this race last year and is capable of running another big race.

We've seen trainer Gordon Elliott produce quality horses in this division before with the likes of Sire Du Berlais representing the same connections as Honesty Policy and they'll be hoping for a similar career trajectory. The lightly raced five-year-old has plenty of room to progress and should come on for his recent second placed run. The only major danger represents the same owner in Impose Toi. Although Strong Leader wasn't far away last time out and Crambo took this race last year it looks to be a dual between the JP McManus runners.
At bigger odds Colonel Mustard and Potters Charm might sneak into the money.
HONESTY POLICY (WIN)
14:40 HAYDOCK
Although Irish raider Walks The Talk has won her last two starts she looks likely to play second fiddle to the top two in the betting.
Jackie Hobbs and Supreme Malins seem head and shoulders above their opposition and it'll be hard to split the pair. As such we're going to be slightly bold and back them both to fill the top two spots.
If push came to shove and we were forced to find an each-way alternative La Zooubida might have enough in the locker to finish best of the rest.

Three runners with great course form in Victtorino, Threeunderthrufive and Henry's Friend should be making any punters shortlist as the trio hold strong claims now back here at their beloved Ascot. Of the three Threeunderthrufive and Henry's Friend look better betting propositions at their current double figure odds and look worth a bet.
Blow Your Wad and Pic Roc seem to be best of the rest and can throw down a serious challenge.

Despite never tasting success over obstacles, Mando Man looks set to go off as the clear race favourite. The Gary Moore yard is in fine form, and they're capable of landing big handicap hurdles, especially at this sort of track, with lightly raced contenders and off such a low weight looks the one to beat. That being said, his price could be too short, and you're not going to break the bank if backing him at his current odds.
Former course and distance winner Fiercely Proud put in an eye-catching performance when making his seasonal return and should be capable of building upon that effort.
The interesting pair who may well perform much better than their prices might suggest are Joyeuse and Live Conti, who represent big-name trainers. If either of them attracts market support, you'll have to take them very seriously.
