TV TIPS (SUNDAY)

Sunday's live racing action provides punters with plenty to get stuck into, with Goodwood taking centre stage alongside competitive cards from Beverley, Yarmouth and Cork.

As ever, there are some tricky-looking contests to decipher, including several wide-open handicaps and competitive Group races where finding value could prove more rewarding than simply siding with the market leaders.

We've taken a closer look at all of the live action and picked out our best bets, including several each-way selections at bigger prices. 13:25 GOODWOOD

Mister Whippy went close when runner-up in a similar contest last time and a repeat of that effort should see him firmly involved once again.

Ed Walker's runner looks particularly interesting at the prices and, at the time of writing, odds of 6/1 appear generous given what he's already shown.

Flight Tracker represents powerful connections and shaped well on debut. Further improvement will be required now stepping up in grade, but he looks the obvious danger.

MISTER WHIPPY (E/W)

13:40 BEVERLEY

There is a slight concern about Fox Avatar returning to Class 3 company, but the former course-and-distance winner arrives following a solid third last time and clearly handles this venue.

Roger Varian's yard is operating at an impressive 25% strike rate and Fox Avatar looks capable of adding to that tally with another bold showing.

Impartiality is another previous Beverley winner who commands respect after consecutive runner-up finishes, while Amancio and Bay Of Myths need to improve but have shown enough to suggest they deserve their chance at this level.

FOX AVATAR (E/W)

14:00 GOODWOOD

Oliver Show is remarkably still searching for his first turf victory after 16 attempts, but the six-year-old has gone close in some competitive handicaps, including here at Goodwood.

Representing the powerful combination of George Boughey and Billy Loughnane, he looks to have another good opportunity to finally get his head in front on grass.

The maiden Real Gain could outrun his price, while former course-and-distance winner Godwinson would be a major threat if returning to something like his best.

OLIVER SHOW (E/W)

14:15 BEVERLEY

Elegant Erin boasts an impressive 50% strike rate at Beverley but has disappointed in this particular contest on two previous occasions and there are concerns about whether she's quite up to this level.

Last year's winner Shagraan returns to defend his crown and, despite enduring a disappointing campaign so far, could be capable of bouncing back at a venue where he's already enjoyed success.

For those searching for an each-way alternative, Fluorescence makes plenty of appeal. An impressive winner last time, she deserves the opportunity to test herself in stronger company and could have further improvement to come.

The consistent Badri and former Group-race winner Washington Heights look best of the remainder.

SHAGRAAN (WIN) FLUORESCENCE (E/W)

14:35 GOODWOOD

A competitive-looking sprint handicap where three runners make particular appeal.

Richard Spencer has an excellent record in races of this nature and saddles Rapper's Delight, who caught the eye here at Glorious Goodwood when last seen. Returning to the same venue, he looks primed for another bold showing.

Course-and-distance winners Flash Harry and Ardisia are also difficult to ignore. Flash Harry was perhaps unfortunate not to finish closer at York last time and is worth another chance now returning to a track where he's already tasted success.

Ardisia has been contesting stronger races and catches the eye now dropping back into handicap company.

Top-weight Ferrous and Fast Track Harry are two others worthy of consideration in a wide-open contest.

RAPPER'S DELIGHT (E/W) FLASH HARRY (E/W) ARDISIA (E/W)

14:55 YARMOUTH

Kinswoman and Hypnotised appear to hold particularly strong claims and look the two most likely to fight out the finish.

Course-and-distance winners Adrestia and Rocking Ends have proven form at Yarmouth, but both may need to find further improvement to trouble the market principals.

There is very little separating Kinswoman and Hypnotised on paper and, rather than choosing between the pair, the reverse forecast looks the most appealing option.

KINSWOMAN – HYPNOTISED (REV FCAST)

15:10 GOODWOOD

An open-looking Group 3 contest where it wouldn't come as a major surprise to see any of the ten runners emerge victorious.

Nuit d'Eclair went close in similar company at Newmarket earlier this month and a repeat of that performance should see her firmly involved once again.

Aperoll impressed when winning last time and deserves a place on any shortlist, while the ultra-consistent Bayside View has done little wrong across her three starts to date.

Karl Burke's excellent record with two-year-olds means Light Of Dawn also commands plenty of respect, with Coaxed and Siena Storm others who shouldn't be disregarded.

It's a difficult race to approach with any great confidence and certainly not one to get too heavily involved in, but Nuit d'Eclair gets the tentative vote.

NUIT D'ECLAIR (E/W)

15:30 CORK

We head across to Ireland for a Group 3 contest where the fillies and mares take centre stage.

As with several of Sunday's live races, this is another difficult puzzle to solve and certainly not a contest to approach with maximum confidence.

The lightly raced three-year-olds Suzie Songs and Cromac Quay make the most appeal at their respective prices. Suzie Songs already has a course-and-distance victory to her name, while the progressive Cromac Quay looks capable of taking another step forward.

Pivotal Attack arrives following a good victory last time and warrants respect, while Prevalence still needs to find further improvement but appears to be heading in the right direction.

At the prices, Suzie Songs and Cromac Quay look worthy of each-way support.

SUZIE SONGS (E/W) CROMAC QUAY (E/W)

15:45 GOODWOOD

Gloryous produced a gutsy performance to get her head in front on the all-weather earlier in the week and connections waste little time in attempting to strike again.

Lorca's Waltz remains lightly raced and could have considerably more to offer, while Itica makes a turf debut following a mixed set of results on the all-weather. Representing Andrew Balding's powerful yard, he nevertheless demands respect.

It's difficult to be overly confident in a race of this nature, but Gloryous arrives in winning form and a chance is taken on her completing a quick-fire double.
