BEST OF THE REST

Rory Paddock looks through the cards away from the ITV cameras this Saturday and finds horses worth backing elsewhere.
13:35 WINDSOR
Despite being a seven race maiden Invincible Storm has improved with each turf run this season. A promising effort in a better race last time out should stand him in good stead, especially as his trainer is starting to fire in the winners.
Top weight Makes Me Wonder looks the clear opposition and should be there to pounce if our selection falters.
INVINCIBLE STORM (WIN)
16:00 WINDSOR
A very open looking handicap but thankfully we still, at the time of writing, have eight runners entered and as such three places on offer. With the top three paying out for each way punters it’s tempted us to find a horse who could outrun their current price.
Rossa Ryan is certainly considered by most to be a top jockey and he climbs aboard former course and distance winner Under The Twilight. She’s competed at a much higher level than this and produced a fair performance at Newbury last time out. If she’s fired up for this one she’s got a major chance of making the frame.
Dutch Finale and Safari Dream are both in a rich vein of form so the pair hold clear and obvious chances.
Another runner worth noting is The Flying Seagull who’s produced a couple of solid efforts so far this term and has an interesting jockey in the saddle.
UNDER THE TWILIGHT (E/W)
17:50 DONCASTER
Gressington’s most recent run was too bad to be true and if he’s capable of reproducing the effort that saw him finish third two starts back he’ll have a lively chance. That third placed finish came over this course and distance and if the ground continues to dry out it’ll certainly aid his chances. Jockey Kevin Stott has a decent record at Doncaster and him doing the steering is another major positive.
Former course and distance winners Juan Le Pins and Many A Star couldn’t be discounted with Brazen Bolt and Jungle Land sure to put up a decent performance.
