THE HOTLIST

Alan Morris looks over the past weeks racing and picks out two horses you need to be putting into your trackers. A GIRL NAMED IVY  (M DODS)

A Girl Named Ivy faded on return from a moderate draw at Pontefract over 5f on Monday 14th April, but suggested she can improve further at 4. Unraced at 2, she did well to win twice in a light 3yo campaign in solid races. 6f fillies handicaps with a good draw for front-running are ideal but a stiff 5f looked fine on this reappearance and her maiden win and trainer suggest 7f is an option in time despite her exuberance.

MISTER SKY BLUE (G TUTTY)

Mister Blue Sky ran on well to finish 3rd at Pontefract over 6f on Monday 14th April after having to tuck in from a bad draw. The 3yo gelding showed he had trained on and has plenty of scope to improve from a mark of only 57 for his astute yard. A stiff 6f or 7f will suit in time.
