THE HOTLIST

Alan Morris returns with his weekly couple of horses from the past seven days he urges you to keep a very close eye on.

UNCLE DICK (E Johnson Houghton)

The 7yo Uncle Dick would not be your typical hotlist horse but has been dropping in the handicap after some tough class 4 tasks and two jockeys have reported him starting slowly to the stewards. There are enough signs of life to suggest he can win back in class 5 handicaps over 8/9f back in 0-70s and he can handle tracks like Brighton and Epsom as well as Kempton. He also runs well for Apprentice jockeys.

TUCO SALAMANCA (O Sangster)

Tuco has been busy this Spring but was an excellent 2nd at Ascot on Friday running on over 6f without much cover on the flank and still looks to have scope over 7f or a fast-run 6f to improve further. As a hold-up horse he may need luck in running in sprints if breaking bad.
