THE HOTLIST

September has been and gone and Alan Morris rounds off the month and kick-starts October with a total hotlist overhaul and more runners to ensure you're tracking. ICE SHOW (D O'MEARA)

Despite being from a good Cheveley Park family, and a fair winning dam, Ice Show was picked up for a 1000gns by current connections. The 3yo was unraced at two and has been progressing nicely and after a keen front-running 3rd at Redcar she went one better at Newcastle to win over 7f. She travelled well in the pack and showed a good attitude for a smallish filly against the males, putting the race to bed nicely. She can progress further if kept going on the all-weather and 1m looks within range now she has settled.

FRISKY WHISKEY (B ELLISON)

The 5yo mare Frisky Whiskey is related to three winners from a good winning dam and broke her maiden status this week at Hexham over 3m. She beat a solid yardstick in Scottish Dancer, pulling clear from Robert D'Ores,  (who should improve for the run and lesser opposition in this grade next time out).

Rated 98, Frisky Whiskey may suffer from the handicappers attention with two pulling clear but hopefully there is enough leeway to strike again after only six runs. All her form has been on good ground so far but she only started racing in May so hasn't been tested yet on soft ground and her dam and half-brothers won in testing conditions. CURRENT HOTLIST:
