Sam King previews the best of Tuesday’s action as he names two runners worth following.

15:00 LINGFIELD

William Knight looks to have found a nice opening for his once-raced filly Romotoso. This daughter of  Lope Y Fernandez looked to make her challenge earlier than ideal when a promising third on debut and as a result, that initial effort can be upgraded. She shaped as though there would be plenty more to come once that debut experience was in the bag, and with a good draw to work with in stall two, she might well take some stopping here. My Old Mate seems to be going in the right direction and it would be disappointing if he couldn't complete the hat-trick. He bolted up when striking over a mile at Windsor last time off a 4lb lower mark in handicap company and with Jude Fernandes, who has proved more than capable in the saddle during his first season as an apprentice, taking off 7lb, he looks well-treated if able to replicate that form back on the all-weather.
