TODAY'S TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

Liam Hall gives us his weekly take on Wednesday's action and picks out a handful of runners worth following.

13:35 PUNCHESTOWN

This academy hurdle I'm putting up Way Horn, a son of Golden Horn out of a winning hurdler, there's a solid jumps pedigree in this lad unlike most of the field who have flat pedigrees. Rich Treasure might be a decent price to hit the frame and could be worth a punt if firms are offering first three places each way

WAY HORN (WIN)

14:00 WETHERBY

Wetherby can be a stern test for newcomers to the hurdling division, likely favourite Magnetude has the pedigree for this discipline but the unbeaten hurdler Royal Sapphire I'm tipping to put his experience to good use and defy the 12lb penalty. Elm Creek looks to have the ability to fill the frame if his hurdling holds up on debut.

ROYAL SAPPHIRE (WIN)

15:30 FFOS LAS

Tutti Quanti is likely to go off odds on for his chasing debut, impressive in deep ground when winning the William Hill Hurdle and is two from two at Ffos Las but took a heavy fall on his last hurdling start and was outclassed in a Champion Hurdle when blowing the start, beaten 25 lengths on his first run of the season lsst year is a cause for concern. Dan Skelton takes over the training of Captain Teague and therefore is likely to find improvement in him which could make him a serious talent as he's already a Grade 1 winning hurdler, will improve for the run. I'm going with fitness here and the battle hardened Tamarind Bay, stays further but has won over this trip, has to be thereabouts on this occasion.

TAMARIND BAY (WIN)  17:40 PUNCHESTOWN

This bumper will see Frisco Lad go off likely favourite after winning nicely at Limerick, being a son of Walk In The Park he's sure to have his supporters. Hilly filly and Hill Silver are both winners but all three of those may struggle to reach the potential of Hutton Star, this daughter of Sottsass won on debut beating Hilly Filly and although this time they both carry penalties Hutton Star should continue to thrive being out of a mare who improved with age to reach placed listed level towards the back end of her career.
