Matt Polley heads to Newcastle for his best bets to start the week.

Without Compromise landed a few bets last time and he’s open to improvement at this trip.

Four Fifty has more talent than his form figures suggest, he could go well at a price.

Golspie is the choice. He often runs well in defeat, and is probably the type that needs everything to fall right. If he gets a decent pace to aim at, he could easily run into a place at least at rewarding odds.

Second Fiddle is red hot at the moment, and she’s very difficult to oppose, however, she’s up another ten pounds few her latest win and there’s a couple in here that have become attractively weighted.

Pallas Lord is the first. He likes it here, and should run well, but the pick is Alpine Sierra.

He’s been ticking along since last December, but there were more than glimmers of notice than a return to the winners enclosure was imminent last time.
