Docklands has made the frame in all five prior runs over course and distance, winning two. He was only beaten by a neck when second in this race last season and his last run in this country over a mile came when second to Charyn in the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes here at Ascot so he’s got the course form and overall quality to go one better this season, with a first-time tongue expected to further aid his cause.
Sardinian Warrior has won his last three on the all-weather, all in impressive fashion and making all the last twice, staying on strongly right through the line. His sire Saxon Warrior won the Racing Post Trophy and 2000 Guineas over a mile on turf so the switch in surface shouldn’t cause issue and he rates the main danger to the selection.
DOCKLANDS (WIN)

Rebels Gamble has won three from four on the all-weather, the latest being a Listed contest at Lingfield at the beginning of March and given his sire Dark Angel is a Group 1 winner over six furlongs on turf there is every reason to believe that Karl Burke’s runner will prove just as effective on this new surface.
Big Mojo had a solid juvenile campaign, winning the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes, only beaten a neck in the Flying Childers and rounding off his season with an excellent fourth in the Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint. He’s had a wind op ahead of his return and if that’s had a positive effect he could prove a big danger, with Electrolyte also considered a threat with Ryan Moore taking over in the saddle.
REBELS GAMBLE (WIN)
14:57 PONTEFRACT
Reigning Profit hasn’t been done any favours with the draw but with two wins and a second from three over course and distance and main rival Lethal Nymph drawn widest of all he could prove strong enough for victory today. Lethal Nymph hasn’t won in almost three years but was plying his trade with credit in Class 2 races last season so this is a notable drop in grade and he should be race-fit following a couple of outings on the all-weather so has to be considered, while Wen Moon is another who hasn’t won for a while but has made the frame in four from six at the course and is also taking a drop in class.
REIGNING PROFIT (WIN)
16:15 PUNCHESTOWN
Willie Mullins and Paul Townend have teamed up to win five of the last six renewals of this race and should be able to add to that here with recent Albert Bartlett winner Jasmin De Vaux who impressed in that Grade 1 at Cheltenham and also confirmed his stamina over a three-mile trip in the process, staying on strongly to beat favourite The Big Westerner by almost three lengths.
The most likely danger looks to be Honesty Policy who has won his last three including the Grade 1 Mersey Novices Hurdle at Aintree at the beginning of the month, stepping up in trip and needing all of the extra yardage to get the better of Regent’s Stroll. Today sees another increase in distance but if seeing it out, which his performance last time out suggests he should, then he should be challenging at the finish.
