It's all about the all-weather on ITV this Friday and we preview all the live action from Lingfield and Newcastle.
13:30 LINGFIELD
Previous course and distance scorers Lady Manzor and Party Bear both catch the eye, returning to a track where they’ve enjoyed success. Each now finds themselves on workable marks and look well treated back in Class 4 company.
Lady Dora Mae remains an unexposed type and, with a hat-trick on the line, the progressive three-year-old looks destined for higher grades in due course and can continue to improve.

13:50 NEWCASTLE
Northern Empire impressed when landing a competitive novice at Lingfield and, on handicap debut, looks set for another bold showing. The assistance of a promising apprentice taking off 5lb combined with a favourable low draw adds further appeal.
Al Najashi, trained by Ollie Sangster, bids for a fifth straight success and commands serious respect in his current form.
Silent Strike has been ultra-consistent, never finishing outside the top two, and is another key player.
At bigger prices, Three Non Blondes and Cotai Lights appeal as lively each-way contenders.
NORTHERN EMPIRE (E/W)
14:05 LINGFIELD Recent winners St Faz and Shrimp Shady are likely to dominate the market and both bring solid credentials into this contest, making them hard to oppose. However, Selenic, from the Sir Mark Prescott yard, remains lightly raced and could improve for the step up in trip, making him an interesting alternative. Dance Time, a previous course winner, is another to consider at more appealing odds. SELENIC (E/W)
14:25 NEWCASTLE This Class 2 event lacks depth, opening the door for several contenders. Stateira, a course and distance winner for Andrew Balding, is likely to be prominent in the betting and could improve further despite a rise in the weights. Oisin Murphy’s mount is respected, but preference goes to Irish raider Indigo Dream, who shaped well when third over track and trip and can go close with a repeat. INDIGO DREAM (E/W)
14:40 LINGFIELD Silky Wilkie has yet to win at Lingfield but has been placed here multiple times, including four runner-up efforts from higher marks. Now easing in the weights, he looks poised to break that duck. Dark Ace arrives in winning form and looks a serious danger in pursuit of back-to-back victories. The Thames Boatman also warrants consideration in an open-looking race. SILKY WILKIE (E/W)
15:00 NEWCASTLE A typically competitive affair with plenty in with chances. Tyrrhenian Sea, a former course and distance winner, returns to handicap company for the first time since the 2023 Cambridgeshire. After a strong Listed second last time, he looks capable of making an impact. First Principle showed determination to score recently and could be an improving type for William Haggas stepping up in class. The Last King and Blue Rc are obvious threats, while Storm Star is not without hope at bigger odds. TYRRHENIAN SEA (E/W) FIRST PRINCIPLE (E/W)
15:15 LINGFIELD This is a tricky contest with no standout selection. Unterberg seeks a fourth consecutive win and is likely to head the market, but faces a stiffer test and will need further improvement. Dark Moon Rising and Great Bedwyn both arrive off solid runner-up efforts and should be competitive once more. Hitched, despite a wide draw, is interesting given his strong course record, including multiple wins over this trip, and could outrun expectations if things fall right. HITCHED (E/W)
15:35 NEWCASTLE Course specialists Pocklington and Fivethousandtoone stand out, having filled the top two spots in a similar race here last summer. Both boast excellent track records and, despite carrying more weight, demand respect. Wiltshire, another previous course and distance winner, could bounce back to form, while Irish challenger Sir Les Patterson is also worth noting. POCKLINGTON (E/W) FIVETHOUSANDTOONE (E/W)
15:50 LINGFIELD The Hannon-Levey partnership made a strong start to the turf season and Angel Hunter could continue that momentum. Now back to his last winning mark, the four-year-old may benefit from the drop in the weights. Invited, a previous course and distance winner, shaped well last time and should be involved again. Exquisite Acclaim also enters calculations after a fair recent effort. ANGEL HUNTER (E/W)
16:10 NEWCASTLE Regal Ulixes gets the nod from Oisin Murphy over stablemate Teumessias Fox, and the Balding pair both look likely to feature prominently. Gaucher, representing Willie Mullins, carries top weight but arrives in winning form from Dundalk and should not be underestimated despite the burden. Others to note include Paradias, Antrim, and Parlando, who could offer value. GAUCHER (WIN)
16:42 NEWCASTLE
Prydwen, winner of this race in 2024, boasts a perfect course and distance record and has held his own in stronger company. Now on a lenient mark, he looks overpriced and capable of a big run.
Berkshire Shadow arrives off a win but faces a tougher task at this level.
Tribal Star is consistent and could sneak into the places, while Duke Of Oxford’s strong course record is tempered by a higher weight this time.
