TV TIPS (SATURDAY)

We preview every race from Cheltenham this Saturday plus the three live ITV races from Doncaster. 12:05 CHELTENHAM

Jordans Cross looks the most likely victor when falling two starts back. He got back to winning ways when last seen and despite the additional weight posing a problem he'll appreciate this longer trip and should be there or thereabouts.

Califet En Vol and Berlovento pose the biggest threats.

JORDANS CROSS (E/W)

12:40 CHELTENHAM

The unbeaten Maestro Conti and Minella Yoga tick plenty of boxes and despite the likes of One Horse Town, Hardy Stuff and Tenter Le Tout having the ability to make the frame it's hard to look anywhere but the aforementioned duo.

Of the pair it's Maestro Conti that gets the vote with the Skelton runner capable of beating Paul Nicholls' charge despite the extra weight to carry.

MAESTRO CONTI (WIN)

12:55 DONCASTER

The form of Rocking Man's maiden victory has been franked with the runner-up and reopposing Carlenrig going on to also claim success. The Sam Thomas trained entrant won after a mammoth absence and should strip much fitter for their latest effort. The step up in trip should also aid his chances and he should make the frame.

ROCKING MAN (E/W)

13:15 CHELTENHAM

Bottom-weight Javert Allen has been knocking on the door of success and aims to go one better than their most recent outing. However this looks a much tougher test and minor money looks the most likely outcome.

Jagwar was somewhat unfortunate not to claim another course victory when last seen and with that run under his belt he's the one to beat.

For punters looking for an each way option Moon D'Orange took this race last year and aims to repeat that feet. Off a similar mark it wouldn't be impossible for him to put in a much improved showing than what he's shown of late.

JAGWAR (WIN)

MOON D'ORANGE (E/W)

13:30 DONCASTER

Irish raider Jetara aims to retain her crown after winning this contest last year however, it's fellow Irish-based runner Feet Of A Dancer who gets the nod. Her recent run behind Wodhooh looks some of the strongest form on offer and now back against her own gender should find this an easier test. Of the UK contingent That'll Do Moss looks the most likely to give the Irish runners something to think about.

FEET OF A DANCER (WIN)

13:50 CHELTENHAM

With sixteen runners set to go to post over this unique course it's hard to be overly confident with any selection however we've narrowed the field down to a shortlist of five.

The quintet consists of last time victor Final Orders, who took to these unique fences, French runners Iceo Madrik and stablemate Placenet as well as J'Arrive De L'Est and Unanswered Prayers. Of course you can't dismiss the rest of the field too readily but the aforementioned runners tick plenty of boxes with most already having course experience.

A chance is taken with J'Arrive De L'Est to reverse the form of his latest run and at bigger odds Unanswered Prayers.

J'ARRIVE DE L'EST (WIN)

UNANSWERED PRAYERS (E/W)

14:05 DONCASTER

In what looks a very open contest Joyeux Machin might be an outsider worth following. A fair fourth in a similar contest here at Doncaster indicated he might be returning to a solid level of form and if continuing to get closer to winning ways is given an each-way vote.

Top-weight Deep Cave and former course and distance winner Docpickedme look others worth adding to any punters shortlist.

JOYEUX MACHIN (E/W)

14:25 CHELTENHAM

Grey Dawning aims to solidify his status as a potential Gold Cup contender after winning the Betfair Chase at Haydock last time. This looks a potentially easier task and although his opposition have all performed at the highest level it's hard to see anything but a victory for the Skelton runner.

The most likely to follow home the favourite is the consistent Spillane's Tower.

GREY DAWNING (WIN)

15:00 CHELTENHAM

Sir Gino wasn't perturbed by returning to the smaller obstacles and produced a very dominant display. The form of that run looks very strong and despite the credentials of The New Lion Nicky Henderson's runner should confirm his place as a Champion Hurdle favourite.

The New Lion looks to be clearly best of the rest and if his recent fall hasn't had any lasting effects should give Sir Gino questions to answer.

SIR GINO - THE NEW LION (ST FCAST)

15:35 CHELTENHAM

Despite his larger odds Gowel Road might outperform his odds and has the ability to finish closer than the bookmakers might have you believe however it's difficult not to side with Impose Toi. The JP McManus owned runner is aiming to make it four wins on the spin and with stablemate Doddiethegreat and top-class performer Strong Leader having plenty of ability it's the eight-year-old who's upward trajectory will be difficult to halt.

IMPOSE TOI (WIN)

16:10 CHELTENHAM

The step up in trip should be the key to seeing Act Of Innocence return to winning ways after being turned over at odds-on when last seen. Hailing from a powerhouse trainer, he demands the utmost respect.

Irish raider Heads Up has attracted plenty of market support and hasn't finished outside of the top two in his last six starts. His level of consistency, in quality races, is a significant sign of talent and has proven himself to be more than adept in classy contests. The pair stand out head and shoulders above the rest and although Taurus Bay cannot be entirely dismissed he's not the most likely winner.

ACT OF INNOCENCE - HEADS UP (BOTH TO FINISH IN THE TOP THREE)
