We have six live races this Wednesday as both 'Flat HQ' and 'Jumps HQ' hold host to competitive cards. ITV show four from Newmarket and two from Cheltenham as we combine flat and jumps action. 13:50 NEWMARKET
Although it doesn't help any punter, it's safe to say the opening contest at Newmarket is a 'stick a pin in it' kind of race as it wouldn't come as a shock if any of the 14 entrants were to come out on top.
With that in mind, we're hoping to find a couple at larger odds that might outrun their price.
With the torrential downpour we witnessed here yesterday, a horse who acts well on softer ground will be key.
The Charles Hills trained Bob Mali and Double Rush made our shortlist, and both have solid claims but with a slight preference for Bob Mali.
Another who ticks the box when it comes to the ground is Belgrave, who's done well when there's been cut in the ground and looks overpriced.
Tentative selections but worth a small each-way play.

Despite the burden of top-weight the Dan Skelton trained Doyen Quest has a great record here at Cheltenham. With two wins from five previous starts at 'Jumps HQ' he relishes this course. Last seen contesting the Martin Pipe Handicap at the festival, he travelled well for the majority of the race before weakening in the closing stages. With Harry Skelton back onboard and less weight to carry this time around, he should finish closer.
Likely favourite East India Express looks to hold a strong claim and is an obvious danger, as is the James Owen trained Ballytechno whose consistency could see him throw down a challenge.

With no form to go off, we're hoping the breeding can give us enough clues to find a winning selection, but races such as this should be approached with caution.
After looking through the breeding, we've found four horses whose dam and sire both won on softer ground, which produced a shortlist of five. This included the John Gosden trained duo of Altareq and Caughtredhanded, along with Jane Chapple-Hyam's Hard Endeavour and Hinchinbrooke and also Cosmo Goodspeed.
We then had a glance at the trainers strike rate with two-year-olds. John Gosden with a 20% strike rate with his youngsters were head and shoulders above both Chapple-Hyam and Meehan.
We're finding it had to split the Gosden pair so we're going to opt for both of them to go close.

Trainer Paul Nicholls has hit a purple patch as the season is drawing to a close and this could be the time for his former course and distance winner Il Ridoto to strike. With a solid record here at Cheltenham, he ticks plenty of boxes, and if the rain were to fall, it'd only improve his chances. Of course, we have to worry about the Willie Mullins trained duo of Classic Getaway and O'Moore Park, but if the Irish raiders fail to deliver, then our selection could be in prime contention to pick up the pieces.

As the only course and distance winner in the lineup and with a previous win on heavy ground Romantic Style looks tough to beat. A winner just 75 days ago she's not got as long an absence to overcome than some of her opposition and with a weight for sex allowance also benefiting her it's hard to look elsewhere.
The most likely to follow her home is French raider Sajir, with Lethal Levi looking best of the rest.

It's hard to judge the unbeaten pair of Opera Ballo and The Watcher as both are yet to make their turf debut and as such have major question marks over the softer going and their breeding doesn't suggest either would relish cut in the ground.
Wimbledon Hawkeye won't have a problem with the likely conditions and as a course and distance victor last season should be there or thereabouts and is taken to add to his course success.
Of the remainder Field Of Gold and New Century make most appeal.
