BEST OF THE REST (SATURDAY)
Rory Paddock turns his attention away from Saturday's live ITV action and pinpoints a pair of runners he feels are worth following this Saturday. 14:50 REDCAR
Bay Dream Believer may have failed to win in five previous visits to Redcar, but her overall record at the track remains difficult to ignore, having finished in the places on four of those five occasions.
She clearly enjoys this venue and returns on what looks a workable mark, while the booking of Jason Hart is another notable positive.
Winning may not come easily, but her excellent course record gives her every chance of getting involved once again and she looks a solid each-way option.
BAY DREAM BELIEVER (E/W)
20:30 SOUTHWELL
Although Astrid remains a maiden after three starts, she has shown more than enough promise to suggest her first victory isn't far away.
Her latest effort, when runner-up in a competitive Class 3 novice contest, represents a solid piece of form and this looks a considerably easier assignment. James Horton's runner now makes her handicap debut down in Class 5 company and there should be plenty more improvement to come after just three career starts.
Last-time-out winner Shopaholic looks the obvious danger and arrives with confidence on her side, but Astrid potentially has more to offer and could prove well treated in her first foray into handicap company.
This looks an excellent opportunity for her to shed her maiden tag.
