Passing Pleasure was well-backed on seasonal and stable debut to win comfortably over hurdles at Musselburgh from a mark of 100. The 5yo is entered in a novice chase on Tuesday and has a point background to give confidence if turned out quickly. There are hurdles entries later in the week as they try to win under a penalty but despite likely attention from the handicapper success can be long-term with scope over fences and further and not just a short-term phase.

BARON NOIR (A KING)

Baron Noir has campaigned well with a good bumper career and a shrewd Irish nh flat race win before embarking on a hurdle career. A good second behind a promising novice was followed up by a cosy success over 2 miles at Uttoxeter and it will be interesting if he plots a path goes straight in to handicaps or a novice under a penalty. He will be one to watch wherever he turns up and 2m bumper successes always hint at scope for further over hurdles alongside breeding pointers to back that up.
