All In You caught many eyes I’m sure, running on from exaggerated hold-up tactics on seasonal debut at Ascot on Friday to finish second. It was a yard debut too after the Maxwell dispersal sale and there looks to be scope to improve over further and / or softer ground despite the flat speed in his pedigree. There is still potential over the flat but his French flat form suggests he could be well-handicapped over hurdles despite a likely small rise here. The lightly-raced Let It Rain looks an improver from this race too.

SAINT CYR DE PAIL (J WILLIAMS)

Saint Cyr De Pail won at Exeter on Thursday in atrocious conditions where only two of the nine starters finished. The handicapper hopefully can’t go too mad and a winning mark of 97 gives plenty of room to progress over time and distance. It was only the 6yo’s third go over fences and the stable should bring him along nicely, though this may have taken a lot out of him. He is a half-brother to a winning chaser and his dam won over hurdles, as well as being a half-sister to a grade one winner. 3m will suit in time.
