Alan Morris gives his weekly round-up of recent runners as he nominates two to follow going forward.

MR FINCH (B PAULING)

Mr Finch was well-backed on UK and hurdle debut at Fontwell on the strength of one second in an Irish point-to-point maiden and he ran well against previous winners with hurdle experience. The 5yo gelding was a tad keen and overjumped a little but only weakened late on and ran a race full of promise in finishing fourth in a good novice for the course. He should get further in time but can find a novice or maiden soon on this evidence and handles soft conditions.

GINDERELLA (T VAUGHAN)

It would be pushing it to suggest Ginderella is about to run up a sequence and the 9yo maiden mare has a string of placed efforts on her rap sheet. She has however ran two fair races for new trainer Tim Vaughan after 18 months off on chase debut and then over hurdles and it will be a reward for patient owners if she can finally make the breakthrough. Currently rated only 77, Ginderella looks to be all about stamina and can hopefully find an opportunity this Winter over 2m 6f and beyond.
