Alan Morris takes his weekly look at the past seven days of action and picks out two recent runners you have to add to your trackers. SATTAM (D SAYER)

Sattam travelled well on soft ground at Catterick and had most of his rivals in trouble up the home straight before understandably tiring after a 621 day absence, though he stuck on steadfastly enough for fourth. He may need a little time to get over this but can hopefully progress at 2 miles from his lowly mark of 84, which was gained from some 2m 4f runs. The Shadwell-bred 7yo gelding was sold for 30k after three good bumper runs for Dermot Weld and is a half-brother to three winners including two 80+ 10f winners on the flat.

SENSE OF REASON (C FELLOWES)

Sense Of Reason is a very rare jumps runner for Charlie Fellowes and finished fourth again on his second hurdles outing, behind some promising horses. The lightly-raced 4yo could be able to get a handicap mark now with two fourths and progress further over the minimum trip. There also looks to be unfinished business on the flat after making the breakthrough over 10f at Chelmsford and then being given a bit to do under an inexperienced amateur and is still off a workable flat mark of 60. Either route looks entirely rational at this stage of his career.
