Alan Morris looks back at last week's action and pinpoints two recent runners you should keep a close eye on. NAMMOS (J OWEN)

Nammos looks the type James Owen will find the key to and could give us a swift return at Wolverhampton on Monday with Luke Morris aboard. Faster Bee was well-ridden from a wide draw seven days ago to steal a march on her rivals whilst Nammos was shuffled back under a 7lb claimer and ran on late in to second. Faster Bee should be respected under a 4lb penalty despite another wide draw. Nammos has fallen a fair way in the handicap including a spell in Ireland but has shown enough throughout to win again over 7f with form over most all-weather tracks and should strike sooner rather than later.

DARK SUN (J BENNETT)

Dark Sun’s 2nd at 22-1 at Wolverhampton last week brought back memories of connections’ Idol Deputy’s wins at Dunstall Park, under a claimer and often at rewarding odds. The 5yo mare has a few seconds to her name but hasn’t done a lot wrong and a win will do her the world of good. She is now a half-sister to a good 6f sprinter in Egoli and the £1000 purchase after three fair runs for William Haggas  looks good value to exploit a mark of 58 over 6 and 7f. As a hold-up performer reliant on draws and pace we can discount some losses and the unheralded yard can give us good odds.
