Folk Pageant has shown good form from day one despite looking in need of further in line with her breeding and stuck on well to win again over 10f at Newmarket. The 3yo filly was rated only 71 there and has scope for further progress. The daughter of derby winner Masar is a full sister to a 10f winner as was her dam and 12f should suit. The only blip has been a blowout at Southwell that was too bad to be true and we shouldn’t dismiss Southwell on one run.

MICKEY MONGOOSE (O WILLIAMS)

Mickey Mongoose has had 48 races but is still showing good form from his lowly rating and our angle here is that he may be mis-diagnosed as an all-weather specialist. The 6yo gelding has won twice this winter racing prominently over Southwell’s 7f. We can disregard his 4th place at Newmarket as he was held up in a Hands And Heels race where usually it pays to be upfront or close to the pace as it can be hard for inexperienced jockeys to come from behind without the use of a whip. A third at Yarmouth last summer suggests we might be able to get a long-priced winner in his current form and he may slip into a 0-50 or classified race soon. CURRENT HOTLIST:
