THE HOTLIST

Alan Morris gives his thoughts on last week's action and picks two recent runners worth following for our hotlist. ARCTIC WIND (P D EVANS)

Arctic Wind was a free-going front runner at 2 for David Menusier and is still proving keen at 3 though held up in his two runs for Dave Evans. The 3yo gelding looks to be building up to putting it all together despite jockeys reporting him running too free. He’s related to three good winners and 5-6f looks his maximum at the moment with a speedier sire than his relatives.

INVINCIBLE ISAAC (L DE SOUZA)

Invincible Isaac has not proved straightforward in his four runs at two so far but has shown enough glimmers to suggest he could show more when nurseries come along. He reared and lost many lengths in the Brockesby but made some late headway. He was awkward again on his second start but showed signs of promise again. On his third run he was drawn and raced wide at Kempton. After a gelding operation and a break he was drawn wide at Bath over nearly 6f and made a move that ultimately petered out but showed something in finishing 5th of 11. His dam was a moderate but consistent 5f horse with winning form and that may be his trip at the moment.
